Mobile Notary Service Across the GTA
Where will you travel, and what does it cost?
Three simple zones, each a flat fee added to your document fees (all placeholder, confirm):
- Zone 1, Mississauga: $49 travel fee
- Zone 2, Brampton, Etobicoke, Oakville: $69 travel fee
- Zone 3, rest of the GTA, including Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Milton and Burlington: $99 travel fee
Evening and weekend mobile visits add the after-hours surcharge from the Pricing page. For anything outside the GTA, ask; if the calendar allows it, I will quote it.
Who books mobile notary visits?
- Families at hospitals such as Trillium Health Partners and long-term care residences, where a parent needs a document signed and travel is not realistic
- Busy professionals who would rather I come to the office than lose an hour to parking
- Real estate and mortgage signings where several people must sign the same day
- New parents, people recovering from surgery, and anyone without easy transportation
- Employers arranging bulk signings for staff, which I price as a corporate package rather than per person
How does a mobile appointment work?
You tell me the documents, the address, the number of signers and your preferred window. I confirm the total in writing, review anything you email in advance, then arrive with seals, stamps, a printer-ready file if pages need reprinting, and spare pens. Signers each show government photo ID at the visit exactly as they would at my office. Most home visits take twenty to thirty minutes.
Anything a mobile notary cannot do?
Two limits worth knowing. First, every signer must be alert, oriented and signing voluntarily; if someone at a bedside is not in a condition to understand the document, I am required to stop, and I will say so kindly but clearly. Second, remote video is not a substitute for a mobile visit when the document needs a seal, a certified copy or an apostille, because those must be completed in person on paper.
Corporate and bulk signings at your workplace
Employers book me for batches: annual compliance declarations across a department, incorporation and banking resolutions for a leadership team, consent forms for a project, sworn timesheet or safety declarations on a job site. One visit, a signing table, ID checked person by person, documents sealed in sequence, and a single itemized invoice for accounting. Flat package pricing starts on the Pricing page, and recurring arrangements, monthly visits for brokerages, clinics and dealerships, are available on standing terms.
How to prepare your signers before I arrive
Send the documents ahead so I can pre-check them. Tell every signer to bring valid government photo ID, no exceptions for long-serving staff. Leave signature lines blank. And give me a quiet corner rather than a hallway, because oaths administered properly need a moment of attention. Ten minutes of preparation typically halves the visit time.
